Honouring the songs from a career spanning 49 years
Since the death of Leonard Cohen in 2016 a legion of fans have lost a poet and songwriter who spoke much of what is usually unsaid. Cohen left a legacy of insightful songs delve into the emotion of what it is to be human.
Irish folk singer, Gerry Tully has created Gerry Tully sings Leonard Cohen performing many of the classic songs of the Canadian troubadour.

Gerry is an accomplished finger style guitarist and singer. Care and attention to detail has been given to reproduce Cohen's songs faithfully. Using nylon-string guitars in original tunings and keys.
The performance includes a four-piece band and begins with a solo performance akin to Cohen’s early solo style. Drawing from a list of classics including, Bird On A Wire, Suzanne, Last Year’s Man the performance culminates to the full band with gems like, Tower Of Song, I’m Your Man and Dance Me To The End Of Love.
Despite this, Gerry side-steps the label of tribute band stating, ‘No one can replace Leonard Cohen, we can keep his words and music alive though.’
Cohen’s songs have been a staple in Gerry’s folk set since he began playing the Irish music circuit. In 2014 Gerry was invited to open the Leonard Cohen Festival in Dublin’s Liberty Hall, the first of its kind in Ireland. People travelled from Canada and Australia for the concert which was a resounding success.
